Repeat-Client Demo Stand for SOTI at Retail Technology Show Project Overview

We worked with SOTI, a global provider of mobile device and endpoint management software, on their stand for Retail Technology Show 2026 at ExCeL London. It was the latest in a long-running relationship with SOTI as one of our repeat UK clients, delivering their stand at this show every year.

Stand #M48 was an interactive stand: a 8m x 4.5m peninsula open on three sides built around a series of demo pods where SOTI’s team could walk visitors through the SOTI ONE platform live. Each pod combined a mounted screen with a lit base and an integrated laptop station, with a large 60-inch screen and backlit SOTI logo anchoring the back storeroom wall as the stand’s visual focal point.

Behind the visible finish, the build carried a genuinely demanding technical brief. Every demo pod needed dedicated power and enough cable capacity to run a screen, HDMI feed, and video camera simultaneously. This was a minimum of three cables per side, six in total, all routed cleanly through grommets in the counters and cabinets so nothing was visible from the front. We ran double-wired internet to each side of the pods for full redundancy, along with a dedicated power feed for SOTI’s barista coffee machine, kept entirely separate from the fridge circuit to avoid any risk of overloading.

We also custom-built the front storage wall to let the 60-inch screen sit flush and recessed rather than surface-mounted, keeping the finish clean and hiding all cabling from view. The backlit SOTI logo required careful colour work to hit the brand’s exact blue, after previous events saw the same blue photograph as purple or navy under show lighting. We worked through the RGB programming to get the tone right before the show.

The Problem

  • Deliver a working stand for one of our longest-standing UK clients, with a demanding technical brief behind a clean, premium finish.
  • Build interactive demo pods capable of running live software demonstrations, each needing a screen, HDMI connection, and video camera running simultaneously.
  • Provide dedicated, adequately rated power for a barista coffee machine, kept separate from other circuits to avoid overloading the stand’s supply.
  • Deliver full internet redundancy across the stand, with double-wired connections on each side of the demo pods.
  • Route all cabling for the demo pods, counters, and screens cleanly out of sight, with enough capacity for at least three cables per side.
  • Recess the main 60-inch screen flush into a custom-built front wall, rather than surface-mounting it, to keep the finish clean and hide cabling.
  • Match SOTI’s exact blue shade in the backlit logo, after previous events saw the same colour photograph as purple or navy blue under show lighting.
  • Work to an accelerated graphics deadline, with compliance, risk assessment, and stand submission paperwork all coordinated in parallel.

The Solution

We designed and built a stand where technical precision sat behind a clean, premium finish.

Key elements of the solution included:

  • A series of interactive demo pods, each with a mounted screen, lit base, and integrated laptop station for live SOTI ONE demonstrations.
  • Dedicated underfloor power connections to each demo pod, with cable channels sized to handle a minimum of three cables per side for power, HDMI, and video camera feeds.
  • Two internal shelves built into each demo pod cabinet, one per laptop, with grommets fitted throughout for clean cable routing.
  • Double-wired internet connections run to each side of the demo pods, giving the stand full data redundancy for the duration of the show.
  • A separate, dedicated power feed for SOTI’s barista coffee machine, isolated from the fridge circuit to protect against overload.
  • A custom-built front storage wall with the 60-inch screen recessed flush into the surface, hiding cabling and giving the stand a clean, premium finish.
  • Careful RGB programming of the backlit SOTI logo to achieve the closest possible match to SOTI’s brand blue under show lighting conditions.

The Result

We delivered a stand that ran without a single technical surprise on-site, for a client we’ve now worked with for years running.

Outcomes included:

  • Zero technical issues on-site, with power, data, and cabling all mapped and tested well ahead of the show.
  • Fully functioning demo pods that let SOTI’s team run live software demonstrations throughout the event, without interruption.
  • A clean, premium finish with no visible cabling anywhere on the stand, thanks to the recessed screen and grommeted cable routing.
  • An accurate brand blue on the backlit SOTI logo, resolving a colour-matching issue that had affected previous years’ stands.
  • A dedicated, reliable power supply for the barista coffee machine, keeping hospitality running smoothly for the full show.

The project reflected what a long-standing client relationship makes possible: a technically demanding brief delivered with the kind of precision that only comes from years of building for the same team, show after show.
